Tonk News (फिरोज़ उस्मानी): हर वर्ष 21 अक्टूबर को मनाया जाने वाला पुलिस शहीद दिवस (Police martyrs Day) आज पुलिस लाईन (Tonk Police Line) स्मृति वन में मनाया गया। 1959 के समय लद्दाख में शहीद (martyrs) हुए पुलिसकर्मियों की याद में मनाया जाता है। इस दौरान पुलिस विभाग के 292 जवान शहीद हुए थे।

आज शहीद होने वाले पुलिसकर्मियों के नाम का टोंक अतिरिक्त पुलिस अधीक्षक विपीन शर्मा (Tonk Additional Superintendent of Police Vipin Sharma) द्वारा पठन करने के बाद शहीद स्मारक पुष्पांजलि (Martyr memorial wreath) अर्पित कर 2 मिनट का मौन रखा गया। बाद हवाई फायरिंग (Air firing )कर शहीदों को याद किया गया।

इससे पूर्व अतिरिक्त पुलिस अधिक्षक विपीन शर्मा (Additional Police Officer Vipin Sharma)ने टोंक पुलिस लाईन परेड ग्राउण्ड मे पुलिस सेवा मे शहीद हुऐ पुलिस जवानो ओर अधिकारियो के नाम पढक़र सुनाये, इसके बाद परेड ग्राउण्उ मे मौजूद शहीद स्तंभ के समक्ष शहीद जवानों को श्रद्धांजली दी गई । इस दौरान जिले के कई पुलिसकर्मी मौजूद थे।
