The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked Shikhar Dhawan and other players, who are visiting Sri Lanka, to gather in Mumbai on June 14 to begin the quarantine process. According to a report by ESPN Cricinfo, all players have been asked to undergo an RT-PCR test of covid-9 before reaching Mumbai. Everyone has been asked to get this test done before entering the bio bubble of BCCI. All players will have to be in quarantine for 14 days before reaching Sri Lanka on 28 June.
Ind vs SL: Team India will also be quarantined for 3 days in Sri Lanka
After reaching Sri Lanka, the team will remain in quarantine for three more days. According to the guidelines issued by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), players will be allowed to practice in small groups after three days of isolation. The team will practice in small groups from July 2 to 4.
The first match will be held on July 13
After this, from July 6, the entire team will be allowed to start a practice together and make preparations before the first match of the IND vs SL series. The first match between the two teams will be played on July 13. The Indian cricket team will play a series of three ODIs and three T20 matches in Sri Lanka from July 13 to 25.
