With traditional ground infrastructure, StarLink has the capability to deliver high-speed broadband internet to remote areas. Starling is now available for beta users with the intention of providing Internet service worldwide and is continuously expanding.

The biggest drawback of Starlink Beta is its slow internet speed but it looks like that will be fixed soon. in response to a question

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has claimed that the Starlink satellite internet service will have the ability to transfer data at speeds as high as the speed of light. SpaceX plans to put laser-based satellites in orbit.

Right now, Starlink network is operating on the basis of a dish, satellite and ground station. The company appears to be working on shutting down ground stations that have proved to be a hindrance to data transfer due to the long time taken to communicate with the satellite.

Regarding transmission speed with lasers, Musk claims that this speed will be up to 40 percent faster than optical fibers. Due to which fast internet transfer service will be available without the use of land.

If we calculate the current speed from Elon Musk’s statement and optical fiber, then Starlink will be able to transfer data at 180,832 miles per second. This is about 97 percent of the speed of light in a vacuum.

Musk has assured that Starlink will soon shut down all ground stations and provide sufficient bandwidth. If we look at the rapid work being done at SpaceX, it doesn’t seem like a distant thing anymore. SpaceX is planning to launch more than 1,200 Starlink satellites in the next few months
