New Delhi. The controversial post of former Congress President and Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi has been removed from Facebook and Instagram. In this, Rahul had made public the identity of the relatives of the rape victim minor.
Recently, a minor girl died in Delhi under suspicious condition. The girl’s family members allege that she was raped and then murdered. Rahul Gandhi met the relatives of the deceased girl and shared a photo of the meeting on social media. Many people objected to this, including the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR).
On this issue, Twitter first removed Rahul’s post and then locked his account, and now Facebook also removed his post.
This step was taken by Facebook when Rahul Gandhi did not remove this post even after Facebook’s request. Sources say that Facebook requested the removal of the post, citing Indian laws and privacy. When there was no response from Rahul on this issue, the company removed Rahul’s post.
It is noteworthy that the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) had sent a summons to Facebook regarding this controversial post of Rahul and had called for Rahul Gandhi’s position to be not legal and demanded action. Facebook sent a letter to Rahul in this regard and contacted him by mail but did not get any response from Rahul Gandhi. Because of this, Facebook removed the post today.
In the past, Twitter also removed the controversial post of Rahul Gandhi regarding the same issue and later locked the account. However, now Twitter has unlocked its version.
नई दिल्ली(हि.स.)। फेसबुस और इंस्ट्राग्राम से कांग्रेस के पूर्व अध्यक्ष व लोकसभा सांसद राहुल गांधी के विवादित पोस्ट को हटा दिया गया है। इसमें राहुल ने बलात्कार की शिकार नाबालिक के परिजनों की पहचान सार्वजनिक कर दी थी।
दिल्ली में बीते दिनों एक नाबालिग बच्ची की संदिग्ध हालत में मौत हो गई थी। बच्ची के परिजनों का आरोप है कि उसके साथ बलात्कार हुआ और फिर उसकी हत्या कर दी गई। राहुल गांधी मृत बच्ची के परिजनों से मिले और मुलाकात की फोटो सोशल मीडिया पर साझा कर दी। इसपर राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग (एनसीपीसीआर) सहित तमाम लोगों ने आपत्ति जताई।
इस मुद्दे पर सबसे पहले ट्विटर ने राहुल के पोस्ट को हटाया और फिर उनका अकाउंट लॉक किया और अब फेसबुक ने भी उनका पोस्ट हटा दिया।
यह कदम फेसबुक ने तब उठाया जब राहुल गांधी ने इस पोस्ट को फेसबुक के कहने के बाद भी नहीं हटाया। सूत्रों का कहना है कि फेसबुक ने भारतीय कानूनों और गोपनीयता का हवाला देते हुए उस पोस्ट को हटाने का अनुरोध किया था। जब राहुल की ओर से इस मुद्दे पर कोई जवाब नहीं दिया गया तो कंपनी ने राहुल के पोस्ट को हटा दिया।
उल्लेखनीय है कि राहुल के इस विवादित पोस्ट को लेकर राष्ट्रीय बाल अधिकार संरक्षण आयोग (एनसीपीसीआर) ने फेसबुक को बीते दिनों समन भेजा था और राहुल गांधी के पोस्ट को कानून संगत न होने की बात कही थी साथ ही कार्रवाई की मांग की थी। फेसबुक ने इस संबंध में राहुल को पत्र भेजा और मेल पर संपर्क किया लेकिन राहुल गांधी की ओर से कोई जवाब नही मिला। इसे देखते हुए फेसबुक ने आज पोस्ट हटा दी।
इसी मुद्दे को लेकर बीते दिनों ट्विटर ने भी राहुल गांधी का पहले विवादित पोस्ट हटाया और बाद में अकाउंट लॉक कर दिया था। हलांकि अब ट्विटर ने उनका अकाउंट अनलॉक कर दिया है।
