Siddharth Pithani, a close aide of Actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has been granted bail by the court for his marriage. However, during the hearing, the court rejected Pithani’s bail application.
Pithani had sought bail for the marriage. They are to be married on June 26.
When contacted, Siddharth’s lawyer Tariq Sayyed said, “He has been granted parole on humanitarian grounds and will surrender back on July 2.” Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede said that Pithani has been granted parole for ten days for their marriage and will have to surrender on July 2.
Pithani was traced by the NCB through his social media posts and arrested from Hyderabad on May 28 for his alleged links in the Sushant Singh Rajput drugs case.
He was the first person who found the actor hanging in his bedroom on June 14 last year.
He is the person who took down his body even before the family members reached the actor’s residence. NCB had also arrested Sushant’s friend Riya, his brother Shovik, Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant, and other staff members.
The actor’s other domestic staff, Keshav and Neeraj, who the NCB recently questioned, have hinted at Pithani’s role in the drug case.
Bollywood’s fast-rising actor Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14 last year. After that, the police and other agencies have been probing his mysterious death for the previous year.
There is still a lot of speculation about his death. Sushant’s family has also had to go to court in many cases.
